The High Court, in light of recent revelations regarding collusion between CBI officials and college administrators in the nursing college scam, has ordered a fresh investigation. The court has directed a new team to probe colleges previously cleared by the CBI, with changes in the investigation team and the presence of district magistrates during the investigation. Additionally, the entire investigation will be videographed, and a copy of the report will be provided to the petitioner. Furthermore, the Nursing Council has sought permission from the High Court to commence the accreditation process for the 2024-25 session, which was granted despite objections based on new government regulations. The court clarified that accreditation procedures will proceed under the old rules, allowing the Nursing Council to begin accreditation for colleges in the 2024-25 session.
