In Indore, a preventive health care survey was conducted over the past two years, covering 250,000 citizens with over 800,000 medical tests across 8+ parameters. The survey aimed at early disease prevention revealed concerning health data, especially among youth, leading to the launch of the Healthy Madhya Pradesh Initiative. Dr. Vinita Kothari from Central Lab highlighted the urgent need for action, as 30,000 youths showed alarming health issues, including pre-diabetes, thyroid problems, high creatinine levels, liver diseases, elevated cholesterol, blood pressure, high BMI, and obesity. Dr. Arun Agrawal linked the rising cancer cases in youth to lifestyle factors. The campaign was a joint effort by MP Seva Sankalp, Central Lab, Red Cross Society, and the Indian Medical Association.
